Reset SnipTray or clear everything

Start from a clean slate without reinstalling the app.

If you want a completely fresh start, you can clear your data without deleting the app.

  1. 1 To empty history only, use Settings → History → Clear History.
  2. 2 To reset preferences, use Settings → General → Reset to defaults.
  3. 3 Relaunch SnipTray to confirm everything is back to a clean state.

Note

Clearing history cannot be undone, and on paid plans it also removes those snips from your other devices on the next sync. Pinboards you have shared with a team are not affected on their side.
