The prompt
Write positioning statements for {{product}}.
People currently use {{alternatives}}. Our honest advantage is {{edge}}.
Five options, each one sentence naming who it is for, what it replaces, and why it
wins. No superlatives we cannot defend and no category invention.
Then say which is most defensible if a competitor read it, and which is the most
likely to be dismissed as marketing. What to fill in
- {{product}}
- Product — e.g. SnipTray
- {{alternatives}}
- What people use instead today — e.g. the system clipboard, Notes, a text file
- {{edge}}
- The honest advantage — e.g. it syncs across Apple devices without a third-party server
What it produces
1. SnipTray keeps everything you copy on your Mac, iPhone and
iPad — searchable, and synced through your own iCloud.
2. A clipboard manager that syncs without a middleman: your
snips go through your iCloud, not our servers.
3. The clipboard history Apple didn't ship.
Most defensible: 2 — it's a fact a competitor can't copy
without rearchitecting. Most dismissable: 3, which sounds
like a slogan and says nothing about what you get. 117 prompts, in the app you already paste from
