Subject lines that get opened

Specific over clever, every time.

The prompt

Write eight subject lines for an email about {{about}}, going to {{relationship}}.

Under 55 characters each. Specific beats clever — if the reader can guess the
content from the subject, that is the goal, not a failure. No "Quick question",
no false urgency, no colon-then-vague-noun.

Mark the two you would send and say what makes them different from the rest.

What to fill in

{{about}}
What the email is about — e.g. sync is fixed and shipping Thursday
{{relationship}}
Who it's going to — e.g. a customer who complained last week

What it produces

1. Sync is fixed — shipping Thursday
2. The two days of missing clips: what happened
3. Fixed the bug you reported last week

Would send: 1 and 3. The first states the outcome; the
third makes it personal without being coy. Number 2 is
honest but leads with the failure.
